Without engagement, strategic thinking risks becoming technocratic or self-referential.

STRATEGIC DIALOGUE
ESILUX understands public engagement as an integral part of strategic thinking. Strategy is not only a matter of internal analysis, but of collective reflection, informed debate, and the circulation of ideas across institutional boundaries.
The Institute’s engagement activities are therefore designed to connect research with policy, expertise with public discourse, and European-level analysis with national and local perspectives.
Engagement, for ESILUX, is not about visibility for its own sake, but about contributing to the quality, depth, and seriousness of strategic debate in Europe.
ESILUX pursues public engagement through four main channels: media, events, newsletter, and membership. Each serves a distinct purpose, but all are guided by the same principle: to foster informed dialogue on Europe’s long-term strategic challenges.
